So far I've written 31 titles for the Blues Rock band MotorPlanet from Bremerhaven. Plus a few additional songs where they have set my lyrics to music that were not originally written for them.
When I work for MotorPlanet I'll first be sent a recording of the music including a vocal track. Holger - MotorPlanets creative head, singer, and guitar player - would sing some kind of dummy text on the vocal track. Thus, I have the tune and a textual pattern complete with the matching syllable counts and intonation that I can start working with. I would then sort of put a second layer of text upon the nonsense text and - voila - finished is the song.
Since a blog sort of presents history in an inverted manner (except when you have subscribet to it or read it regularly), I'd like to present two recent examples of my work for MotorPlanet in the correct order:
