I describe my ongoing lyrics writing projects. Where I get my ideas, how I match my words with other people's music, which little helpers I use...
... that's the title for the lyrics that didn't have one ;-)
See: yet another chorus
I wrote three verses today:
you think that I'm an asshole
I think you are too cute
I think that you're an angel
you think that I'm a brute
you think that there's a cause
behind each single deed
I think that there are reasons
to lie and to cheat
I think I've made a mistake
you think that you are right
I think this is no reason
to grumble or to fight
The last line first read "to xx or to fight" because I couldn't come up with a viable two-syllable word that would stand for "make a fuss". I checked an online synonym dictionary for suitable words.
I also wrote the bridge:
since I've been around thoughts were my companions
they will stay with me just as long as I am
The result is a text that is a little in the manner of "terminal disease": universal or 'philosophical' statements merged with everyday relationship matters. I like it that way - it's one of my specialties.
