Let's have a look at the meter, it goes (X = stressed, - = unstressed)

- X - X - X - X (just post it on the internet)
The characteristic pattern is X - - X
Two lines do not match this pattern, though:
"and significant": - - X - X
"in the middle of the night": - - X - - - X (well, as there have to be two shorter notes this come actually very close to - - X - - X)
Just an observation. But they should work in a song, nonetheless (I'd like to find an alternative to "and significant", but whatever ..).
