I describe my ongoing lyrics writing projects. Where I get my ideas, how I match my words with other people's music, which little helpers I use...
... a little while later Robert had a melody in his head that seemed to require a chorus, so he re-wrote the lot yet again, also editing a particular verse that would not match the rhyming scheme of the other verses. He also change the second last line from "you should post it" into "just post it" (better!):
On The Internet
Verse 1:
If you’re just starting
Or already through
If you feel good
Or if you’ve got the flu
Just post it
Just post it on the internet
Verse 2:
When you feel happy
Or you’ve got the blues
When you’re unfaithful
Or when you are true
Just post it
Just post it on the internet
Chorus:
Yeah on the internet
You’ll find things are important and significant
Yeah on the internet
Some things can be so boring and irrelevant
Yeah on the internet
Yeah on the internet
Verse 3:
And when your friends ask
What you’ve been up to
Just upload a picture
With a comment or two
Just post it
Just post it on the internet
Verse 4:
When you wait for the bus
Or you walk the dog
Whatever it is
Write it down in your blog
Just post it
Just post it on the internet
Chorus
Verse 5:
The many things you hate
And all the ones you like
Those bedroom games you play
In the middle of the night
Just post it
Just post it on the internet
Verse 6:
If you ever notice
What this song is about
Don’t you ever tell me
No, don’t give me a shout
Just post it
Just post it on the internet
Chorus
