left hand thumb II

Now that I've decided what subject to write about I should gather a few ideas or basic concepts. Actually I copied lines of text when I first found an article about the thumb that fell from the sky. I googled "thumb" and "dropped" to find quite a few additional news articles from which I also copied lines. What's to be done next is bringing them into an order so they make a story suitable for a song:

There was this bully who used to abuse his wife;

his wife fled searching help from her brother;

the husband threatened the family of his wife to find out about her whereabouts;

together with friends he then kidnapped and tortured his wife's brother who had helped her to hide;

the body of the victim was never found;

three days after the brother had vanished a thumb fell from the sky, still attached to the knuckles of the left hand;

the husband and his friends were sentenced for kidnapping and murder.

As for the song I think the part comprising the dropped thumb should stand out and make the chorus. The first verse may tell the prologue, i.e. describe the marital situation before the kidnapping. The second verse could tell how the bully tyrannizes and threatens the family, the third verse how he kidnaps and butchers his brother-in-law. I have no idea for a bridge yet.
