I often wonder how a lyricist possibly can have 'writer's block'. There are more ideas everywhere around you than you would be able to write about within your lifespan.
The other day I read about a thumb that had fallen from the sky, possibly being dropped by a bird. This thumb was the only part of a missing man that was ever recovered - and it provided the up to then lacking proof, that a murder actually had been committed. You'll find articles about this event when you Google, say, "dropped thumb". I think that story could make a nice subject for my next lyrical project. Lately I've kept writing quite a few rather vague lyrics, lyrics which I use to call 'generic'. So it's about time to tell a story for a change.
