I describe my ongoing lyrics writing projects. Where I get my ideas, how I match my words with other people's music, which little helpers I use...
If you miss "fallen victim - I" - it was called "choosing". The chorus seems okay for Peter, so I've written the first two verses. Due to my 'heavy rhyming' I had to draw on rhyming dictionaries a lot - both online and offline.
we met at a dance
just by chance
we danced once or twice
stranger-wise
when I left the bar
to get the car
I saw you at the door
like a decor
you gazed at me
anxiously
I paused for a while
with a smile
time was standing still
'gainst my will
I took a step or two
toward you
Since this part of the story lies in the past I made the chorus past tense, too:
I watched you watching me and saw your smile
and I realized
that I like your style
lost for words, I felt quite insecure
'cause I was falling victim
to your allure
