what we're having

Marian suggested that I write a duet because his band, Melon Gallery, has both a female and a male singer (himself). I had an idea this evening and began taking notes. This is what I have gathered so far:

He:      whatever happens
She:    I could not stand it
He:      I must not lose her
She:    if it ended
He:      whatever happens

He:     I will be true
She:


Both:

what we're having
is so special
what we're having
quite unexplained ??? [not so great]
what we're having
is like magic
what we're having
must be retained

Filling the gaps and maybe replacing the line "quite unexplained" might require rewriting the rest. But it's always better to put down provisional lines than not beginning at all. It's clear where I'm headed, at least, isn't it? That's half the battle ;-)
