I describe my ongoing lyrics writing projects. Where I get my ideas, how I match my words with other people's music, which little helpers I use...
Over the last couple of days I have prepared the accompaniment for yet another rock tune in the style of "spill blood", "hot stuff", or "come real". I just didn't have a melody (nothing much of a melody in this kind of songs anyway) or fitting words. Browsing my lyrics archive I came across a recent text that would match the mood: "that girl got balls". All I had to do is adapt the meter and add a few extra parts, I also had to leave out a few lines. Anyway, this is how it goes now:
-
that girl got balls
so cute and small
that girl got balls
she threw me a teasing glance
she asked would I like to dance
she sure was the one who chose
she made sure we danced real close
boy oh boy
she got
me so hot
-
that girl got balls
she's not strong or tall
that girl got balls
she said "let us not lose time -
will it be your place or mine"
she knew how to bring me to heel
she made me cringe, made me kneel
boy oh boy
she just
drove me nuts
I don't know what to feel
it all seems so unreal
she is master, I'm game
I am game
-
that girl got balls
she's cute and small
that girl got balls
she left without a single word
I felt battered, I felt like dirt
she had dragged me through the mire
while she spurred on my desire
-
that girl got balls
that girl got balls
that girl got balls
