I describe my ongoing lyrics writing projects. Where I get my ideas, how I match my words with other people's music, which little helpers I use...
More often than not my lyrical ideas begin with a chorus (tune and words). Later I try to figure out stories or scenes that might lead up to that particular chorus. The first and third lines were buzzing in my mind when I got up this morning. While I was swimming in the public pool I came up with the now second line that completes the chorus:
you live outside the realms of sanity
beyond the scope of our reality
if you need help you cannot count on me
'cause you live outside the realms of sanity
The title could become "outside (the realms of) sanity". As for the story/verses I have an image in mind where he/she has a knife in his/her hand threatening me (the singing first person), possibly even stabbing me.
Stay tuned!
