I describe my ongoing lyrics writing projects. Where I get my ideas, how I match my words with other people's music, which little helpers I use...
... that's the line that sprang to my mind when I read a Facebook post by some Denalyn about his brother who is being bullied because of his attention deficit-hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and Asperger syndrom (a kind of autism). That's all there is at the moment: a germ of a new song lyric that may sprout or may not. For the time being I sent my lyrics "you're perfect" instead of a comment, although they are about a girl:
you often looked the fool
never caught the boys' eyes
love seemed to pass you by
but
you're perfect as you are
you're perfect by wide and far
you're perfect, you're perfect
for me
...
Why do I post it here?
Because this is how songwriting works: you keep getting ideas while you're pottering along. I'll put the line "beyond the pale ain't out of this world" in my scrap 'book' (i.e. file).
Have a cool weekend!
