torn down

... shall be the title of the new MotorPlanet song.

I first put down dummy text (either the nonsense text Holger sings in his rough cut or any words that would fit but need not make sense). Next I invent lines that match with the same pattern, i.e. meter. Holger's song has a rather weird structure, two type of verses, a guitar solo - as always, no chorus, no bridge. The first two verses are hard rock, the next two verses are rather gentle or emphathetic, maybe sad. The structure could be described like this: verse-A verse-A verse-B Solo verse-B.

Here is my proposed text:

no way we could get along
both our minds were much too strong
caught up in our power games
heading for quite different aims

simple as that

I wish I had understood
that our break-up was for good
I wish I had understood
and had done all I could

I tore down the bridge I'd crossed
now I dream of things I've lost
and I'm longing for the past .. and I
yearn for love I trust could last

I used an internet  rhyming dictionary to find the words "aim" and "cross". Verse-B serves as substitute for the chorus. I think it's quite okay to repeat it since the guitar solo comes in between. The central idea is that "I'" have "torn down the bridge" connecting my former relationship with my current life, hence "torn down".
