Did you notice the slight change in the title? First it was "post it on the net", then "post it on the internet", now it's "post it on the net" again. Call it 'artistic freedom' if you like. My own freedom this time. The lyrics are a collaboration of Robert Baitinger and me. Whereas Robert seems to favor a verse-chorus-verse structure I tend toward a verse-verse-verse structure. I also like my original title better and altered a line.
I don't think that there must only be one definite version of a song or of song lyrics that must never be changed in any way. If you should have noted my licensing conditions you may have observed that I explicitely allow for changes and adaptions provided that they come with the same licensing terms, i.e. being free for any non-commercial use. I also use to alter my own stuff from time to time, normally to match it with music. So maybe in the end there will be at least two versions of "post it on the net" / "post it on the internet". Never mind! As always, you will find my 'official' version on my lyrics pages.
