If Daniel likes the text I suggest for the chorus the title might actually become "ever and ever".

Step 3:

writing dummy text for the chorus that can serve as a template for the real text, i.e. that matches the music's meter yet needs not make sense.

Step 4:

finding words to replace the dummy text.

Quite often the dummy text or parts of it will make it into the 'official' text. I only needed two line of text as a dummy:

1. I waited for you to say "I love you ever and ever"

 and

2. a love that lasts forever and another day

"forever and a day" would make sense, "another" stands there because of the meter.

These lines became my suggested chorus:

I'm waiting for you to say "I love you - ever and ever"
I'm waiting for you to swear "I'll be true - ever and ever"
a love to last
[to last forever and a day]

The first two lines are to be repeated in the second and third choruses; the last line is only added there, hence the square brackets.
