thinking about another duet

If I had got him right, Marian thought about a song in the manner of "paradise by the dashboard light" when he suggested writing a duet. That's a song by Jim Steinmann - to honor the WRITER where most people think only of the artist when commenting on songs, that would be Meatloaf. Well, writing some kind of Rock mini-opera seems a little too elaborate to me, and I actually doubt that it would get across to an ordinary concert audience. (The Who also wrote a short opera before "Tommy", by the way, it was called "a quick one" - it was not too sucessful, I believe). Anyway, I think of writing an ordinary three or four minutes song, instead, yet one that is not all love, peace, and harmony, but that tells about seduction, rejection, mistrust, yearning, and conciliation. That would sound advanced enough for my taste ;-)
