I describe my ongoing lyrics writing projects. Where I get my ideas, how I match my words with other people's music, which little helpers I use...
While working on the bass and drum tracks for "8A" I discovered that I will need an additional verse. The original version of "spill blood" had only three verses whereas "8A" requires four. This is what I wrote:
girl you hurt me and you drive me bonkers
bright perspectives you've turned into black
you're doing me wrong, you're offending my honour
but what you're doing to me I will pay back
"bonkers" sounds very British, but I like it. I couldn't find any useful rhymes, though. "honour" was the closest I could come up with. The verse doesn't actually add anything new. But then, the lyrics don't tell a story anyway - it's just some simple 'moody' song.
