... shall be the next project with Markus. I'll keep his title. The song is to be about world music or a world of music, respectively (a pun that I hope to employ in the lyrics). Markus even provided the dummy text he is singing in the demo thus sparing me syllable counts and intonation checks (this actually inspired my other post of today).
The chorus shall read:
the sound of nations
the sound of peoples
the sound of nations
there for you
Markus had asked to keep as close to his provisional text as possible in the chorus so I only added one (optional) word/syllable ("there") and discarded a rhyme in the second line. For the second line I might have chosen "from all stations" (meaning radio stations), for example. But as for the message "the sound of peoples" is much stronger than any rhyme.
