rewriting "Medusa"

I haven't heard from Julia again, so I guess that our collaboration is called off. Therefore, I've begun rewriting the 'Medusa' lyrics, eliminating Julia's contributions as far as possible so I can license the lyrics to others, i.e. attaching my usual creative commons license.

I'm not done yet. There is nothing much of a chorus, just two lines that are repeated in a sligthly varied manner. And I think I will need a bridge:

your blinding beauty
your female allure
brings begrudgers
to the scene
so sooner or later
the turn for the worse
comes with the others' curse
your fiery rivals' curse

and the men who admire you
are turned to stone

remembered faces
faces of stone
your suitors' hearts
once yearning
when they saw you
who once danced with you
sang and laughed with you
no longer care for you

'cause the men who admired you
have been turned to stone

"Turned to stone" is the title that I have in mind.
