I describe my ongoing lyrics writing projects. Where I get my ideas, how I match my words with other people's music, which little helpers I use...
Craig is working on another version for "Hold on", the original version originating from MotorPlanet. He requires two additional parts. But he also interprets the different song parts quite differently from me, so maybe my suggestions may not meet his needs at all. I suggest repeating one particular part to have some kind of bracket. The part that Craig intended as a bridge I would prefer as an outro. I also changed a few lines here that I never particularly liked. They seemed okay for the MotorPlanet version that had a very eerie guitar sound but I found them rather weird without it (the last lines read: "did you ask advice from the guardian of the shrine").
I'm posting the complete text here. The second verse is the new one.
standing at the crossroads
unknowing where to head
we're just hoping for enlightenment
hold on
let's see what's underneath
hold on
and take some time to breathe
be ready for a secret
that is on the verge
of coming to the daylight
to let the truth emerge
hold on
we've been there before
hold on
about to close the door
to our inner feelings
trying to throw dust
about to choose the wrong path
about to lose our trust
maybe we just need faith
that there will be a way
to get us out of this predicament
hold on
can you read the signs
hold on
that rest between the lines
of our private story
in the book of life
revealing our future
and how we will survive
hold on
let's see what's underneath
hold on
and take some time to breathe
be ready for a secret
that is on the verge
of coming to the daylight
to let the truth emerge
can you tell the future
or understand the past
do you know a truth
that you trust to last
do you get the meaning
in the flood of words
are things getting clearer
or remaining blurred
