I describe my ongoing lyrics writing projects. Where I get my ideas, how I match my words with other people's music, which little helpers I use...
After listening to Ludmila's recording of "ultramarine" a couple more times I found that it actually sounds very French. It wouldn't sound half as good with English lyrics. There is music that sounds better with French words than with English, like Chansons, for example. Whereas I don't particularly like French rock music, on the other hand. Anyway, I decided to choose another tune out of five she sent me for our first cooperation. Her working title was "fire", I left it at that:
it feels like I am burning inside
fire in my soul
don't know how to keep my cool
with fire in my soul
will I lose my mind
lose myself in you
I cannot unwind
when I'm without you
my yearning
burning like fire
like the storm that's churning outside
turmoil in my soul
don't know how I could keep calm
with tempests in my soul
will I lose my mind
lose myself in you
I cannot unwind
when I'm without you
my yearning
burning like fire
[I suggest an instrumental interlude here]
will we come together
be a courting couple
two birds of a feather
withstanding storms and troubles
I'm yearning,
burning like fire
Although I checked Rhymezone as well as Rhymer.com for words that would rhyme with "fire", "together", and "couple" they were of no help, or rather: my choice of words was not exactly rhyme-friendly. I wouldn't have needed them at all.
