Not Darlene, but Rachel

I've just listened to the music yet again to check my lyrics against the (still only imagined) tune. In the chorus I need the stress on the first syllable so "Darlene" didn't work. Instead, I needed any two-syllable female name with the stress on the first syllable, like "Katie", "Emma", or "Lily". I decided upon "Rachel".

It's about matching song lyrics with a chord progression (which actually is very similar to matching lyrics with a tune) - as opposed to writing lyrics freehand. I don't do this for other musicians, by the way. I write to match their tunes, but I don't wirte to match other people's chord progressions. The simple reason is that this would mean first writing to a tune that I envision for their chord progression to next have them trying to come up with a tune that fits together with my lyrics, which might work out or not. In the end I'd probably have to rewrite the lot although my words actually matched a tune - a tune that was never heard, and never will be - except in my own mind.That's why I reserve this particular approach for myself.
