I had the lyrics and an idea as for part of the tune. Next I 'composed' the music and assembled a crude accompaniment. Only after singing it I found that eight lines per verse just don't work, at least not as I envisioned the song. I'll have to shorten the text so I'll have six lines per verse.
Maybe next I'll find that the song is getting rather short. But then, some of Elvis' hits are just one and a half minute, and my own "Spartacus", that I'm pretty proud of, is also quite short, feeling complete nonetheless. Got to see ...
