I describe my ongoing lyrics writing projects. Where I get my ideas, how I match my words with other people's music, which little helpers I use...
I have two MotorPlanet songs to set to words, that means replacing some dummy text with something 'real'. Nici uses phrases from older songs as provisional lyrics which now serve as templates for . I got the first title done - at least I hope so. I call it "female power" - if that's not an enchanting title I don't know which is! And it's yet another duet!
SHE:
I knew you were bound
I knew it was wrong
I could not help
fallin' for you
when I lay in your arms
I realized
our love can make things all right
I realized
our love can make things all right
[instr.]
each time you're here
I'm feeling the same
I'll always be
loving you
when I lie in your arms
I feel it
our love can make things all right
I feel it
our love can make things all right
CHORUS HE-SHE:
female power - power
female magic - magic
changed my old ways - Ohoh
female power - power
got me spellbound - spellbound
since I have been - Ohoh
loving you
[instr.]
HE:
although I was bound
although it was wrong
I could not help
fallin' for you
when you lay in my arms
I realized
our love can make things all right
I realized
our love can make things all right
CHORUS HE-SHE:
female power - power
female magic - magic
changed my old ways - Ohoh
female power - power
got me spellbound - spellbound
since I have been - Ohoh
loving you
I didn't use a rhyming dictionary this time, and there are no rhymes anyway. I couldn't come up with anything useful that would rhyme. When you eventually will hear it, you will see that it works quite nicely without. I used Google to check my phrasing: put in the phrase you want to have checked in quotes and see how many hits you get and where they come from. If there are only very few or they come from Austria or Germany rather avoid them ;-)
