I describe my ongoing lyrics writing projects. Where I get my ideas, how I match my words with other people's music, which little helpers I use...
I've begun to work on a third song for Flamur. The mp3 file is called E_di_Demo - whatever that's supposed to mean. It's sung in Albanian.
First step: identify the structure
It is: intro - verse - lift - chorus - choral part - verse - lift - chorus- choral part - bridge - chorus - choral part
The choral part consist of just one line "hey, hey, hey, HEY, I can see you flying" ("I can see you flying" is my dummy text) that is repeated, except at the end, where it's only sung once. Very beautiful, by the way! I think it should make the hook and title, so the parts that I named "lift" and "chorus" together would have the function of a lift.
Second step: identifying the meter of the different parts. I use dummy text that needs not make any sense put fits in musically, just like the line I just mentioned that I put down to describe the choral interludes.
The tune sounds melancholic which will guide me finding a subject. I will first focus on the line for the choir that I intend to use as title. It might happen that I actually will use my dummy text...
