... is the working title of another song by Karsten. Karsten sends MIDI files which makes it rather easy for me to determine the meter of a song. For example, the stress is on the first beat in 4/4 meter, and less significantly on the third. Here is the pattern in my diction that I put down for the chorus:
X - x - x
X - x - x
X - - x -
X - x - x
repeated once; X = strong stress, x = stress, - = note/syllable
So, this is the pattern the text should match. It does happen that a text I have written for an existing tune requires an upbeat syllable (=note), which then has to be inserted in the preceding bar provided there is a pause in the melody. There isn't in this case.
