To sum up the history so far: first there was a chord progression (actually a little exercise for learning power chords), then there was a - maybe only provisional - melody for the verse (the meter is important, not the notes), and the accompaniment for the chorus.
I got the idea for a subject when I read a very moral, or even righteous text about a girl who prostitutes herself and has become an alcohol addict titled "wastin' away". My idea is to write a song in honor of prostitutes, instead. Immediately, I came up with a few lines for the chorus - whose melody has to be altered a bit, by the way:
her clients can be kings if that is what they like
or young boys, or creeps, or her slaves
she acts their master, their girl, or their guide
with her all their secrets are save
As for the last line I referred to a rhyming dictionary to look up rhymes for 'slave'. When coming across 'save' the line above sprang to mind immediately.
There is not text for the verses as yet. But now that I have got a subject, that part should not be too hard.
