Don't ask me how I came up with the idea for the verses. I simply don't know. I just had this line "you took me by surprise tonight" in my head, and proceeded from there. As for the bridge I looked up rhymes for "time" (mime, dime, also: I'm ..) in a rhyming dictionary. "ime" is not really fruitful as a rhyme. Well, anyway ...
