as yet unnamed Motorplanet songs will become 'sudden silence'

Last night I was woken by the sounds of a brawl. That's how I got the idea for the Motorplanet song which still lacked a topic. At about 2:30 am I wrote down these lines:

there were angry shouts
there was a scream
sudden silence
in the night
went to sleep again
after the violence

And I made a few notes for a second verse as well:

saw an item
in the papers
a body found
close to my place

Then I went back to sleep.

This morning I checked the rhyming dictionary for possible rhymes. I found: bound, sound, around; face, trace. I had already decided that I would not manage to create an ABABAB... pattern or so, but would have to content myself with a rather loose meter. I could use the word 'trace' which I had found in the rhyming dictionary, swapped a few lines, and altered two expressions. And I suggested to Holger, the composer, that he should repeat the first three lines at the end of the song so it would end with 'sudden silence' and have the music stop immediately.

Here's the text:

there were angry shouts
there was a shriek
sudden silence
in the night
went back to sleep
in the calm
after the violence
of the night

saw the item
on the front-page news
the next day
close to my place
they'd found a body
they've got no witness
is what they say
and not a trace

[Solo]

there were angry shouts
there was a shriek
sudden silence
in the night
went back to sleep
in the calm
after the violence
of the night

[Solo]

there were angry shouts
there was a shriek
sudden silence
